Not necessarily: This approach was common 30 years ago along with wiping them down with alcohol or putting them in an ice bath.All bad choices.The temperature sensors on the bodies surface would send a signal to the brain that the kid is getting cold & likely turn on more heat. I keep these kids sensibly dressed, feed them cool fluids & give them ibuprofen.
