Not much: Flying mostly affect ear pressure make sure you have something to chew when plane land and take off no problem with your throat.

It might be ZERO!: "throat clearing" is often a nervous tic, with a skilled hypnotherapist, accomplished with the use of medical hypnosis, it may be abolished with a single visit! especially if there is a large psychological component. If the origin of the symptom is "organic", a small dose of haloperidol (haldol) may abolish it. That is the drug used in tourettes's syndrome; a disorder of verbal tics, vocalizations.
