How long should bronchitis last?

Days to life time: Acute bronchitis will usually last a few days to a few weeks depending on the cause and the treatment. A form of chronic bronchits can last a lfietime depending on the cause and the treatment. If you have a cough or bronchitis that is lasting longer than you think it should, get see by pcp, pulmonologist or other physician and get checke out. Testing may be necessary. Bad things can cause this.

Depends...: There are 2 types of bronchitis:acute and chronic. Acute bronchitis typically lasts a week or 2 but there is no cure for chronic bronchitis so symptoms are controlled but not cured. Chronic bronchitis is thus life-long once diagnosed so smoking cessation is a must to prevent this from developing! doctors can help with smoking cessation!
