Hypothyroidism: Although thyroid hormone contains iodine which must be obtained from the diet, extra iodine is not useful in hypothyroidism--you must see a board certified endocrinologist to receive appropriate hormone replacement and management. Do not delay--hypothyroidism is a serious condition that can be fatal!
