Nail lines: Changes in nails can result from trauma, fungus, and systemic conditions such as psoriasis. I would recommend evaluation by a podiatrist or dermatologist if you are concerned.

Several things: Transverse (side-to-side) ripples can be normal or result from an injury or illness. Longitudinal lines can represent splinter hemorrhages (a possible sign of small blood clots), nail fungus or even melanoma (a very serious skin cancer). If you are concerned, have a podiatrist evaluate your nails for a definitive diagnosis.
