Possibly: Ulcers in the duodenum and stomach are usually caused by excess acid production. Nexium (esomeprazole) lowers acid production and thus decreases ulcer formation. Stopping Nexium (esomeprazole) may cause ulcers to form due to increase acid production. After 17 years, your body may have charged and ulcers may not form after stopping nexium (esomeprazole). There is no guarantee.
