See your physician.: Kidney infections are serious infections that can progress rapidly if inappropriately treated. Antibiotics should be chosed based on urine & blood culture results. Amoxicillin-based antibiotics can be used as an alternative regimen for outpatient pyelonephritis therapy, but is usually not the first choice and treatment must be under a doctor's careful supervision.
