After 10 minutes on a threadmill I start feeling pain in the left hip joint (also muscle numbness) and have trouble lifting the left leg. Why is that?

4 month lows back and left leg pain. Stiff lower back and less flexibility. Pain not radiating from thigh. Pain/ swelling feeling in left calf. Sometimes leg goes numb and tingly. Doc said it is likely a muscle sprain but I worry it may be nerves.
Numbness down leg and foot (sciatic). Then calf muscle locked up. Main pain in outer calf. Now in inside calf. Can barely walk, goin on 1 1/2 mnth.
