A member asked:

My blood group is a2b+ my wife blood group is o+ my child blood group is b+ what is the difference between the b+ and a2b?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood cells have...: ....Proteins on the surface called antigens. Type a has one protein, type b has a different protein, and type ab (not a2b, there is no such thing) has both proteins. Type o has neither, thus it is the absence of a or b.
