A member asked:

Can skin therapists do serious damage with microdermabrasion?

Not usually: Damage can be done with nearly intervention if not properly applied. However if employers as it was intended, it is unlikely to cause any serious damage. Some of my patients have reported more visible telangiectasias (spider veins) attributable to the suction component of the microdermabrasion.

Generally not: If too agressive, could cause scarring i guess or pigment changes in darker skin people. I dont think microdermabrasion works well at all.
