A member asked:

Could the lumps and bulges behind my ear be the cause of my severe headaches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Behind the ear may be lymph nodes or the mastoid process which is a bony structure. Headaches may be related to migraine or tmj. If you have pain in the temple or with chewing, you may have myofacial pain related to tmj. Softer food warm compresses and Motrin may help.
