A member asked:

Can i give my 3 year old sports drinks instead of pedialyte for dehydration?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Oscar Novick answered

Specializes in Pediatrics

No substitute: No, many of the sports drinks contain caffeine and is obviously not suited for a three year old.
