A member asked:

Why would a doctor but a 7 week old on two anti-acids instead of just changing the formula?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ask the doctor: I can't give you specific information-as i don't have all of the facts. Changing formula is usually not the answer. I'm not sure why the child would be on two antacids simultaneously, but a trial of different proton pump inhibitors (not exactly antacids) sequentially, might make sense. I'm sure baby's dr will be happy to discuss the details with you.
