What type of specialist should i see for prolonged, unexplained "heart" pain?

Primary care: Usually i would recommend to start with your primary care doctor. Usually then can figure it out and if needed get you to the right specialists. "heart pain" can mean many things. It could be heart, but also lung, musculoskeletal, esophagus to start with. Each needs a different specialists. The specialists for heart disease are called cardiologists. But i would start with you family doctor.
