Either one: Regardless of what you choose, frequent changes and gentle care will be your best bet. Skin condition can vary between infants. Air dry between changes when possible, wipe gently after bowel movements, gently pat dry if needed after urination, and add your favorite cream/emollient/moisturizer.

Disposable: Disposable diapers are easier to use and work better than cloth. Some parents have concerns about the environmental impact of using disposable diapers.See http://www.Healthychildren.Org/english/ages-stages/baby/diapers-clothing/pages/diapers-disposable-or-cloth.Aspx.

Depends: Most disposable diapers are bleached to get that white color, the result is a byproduct of chlorine caled dioxin listed by the epa as a toxin, another substance used to meke them absorbent is sodium polycarbonate that helps stop leakage also consider the platics and colorants used. All that said it may be the way to go when travelling, cloth is cotton, and you decide what you launder with.
