Really depends: A safe over the counter is miralax (polyethylene glycol). It is safe and effective. If this is chronic constipation, you should definitely seek medical advice in person. If this is a one time thing, you'll do fine with the miralax (polyethylene glycol). Best of luck, hope you find some relief.
