Fiber.: Constipation has no cure. We recomend a diet rich in fiber ( vegetables & fruits). Take stool softeners ( daily) and laxatives as necessary ( if no bm in 3 d) if the constipation is new or recent pt. Needs a colonoscopy. Avoid rice or apple associated foods. Increase fluid intake and exercise. Avoid calcium or iron pills. Increase intake of prunes, citrucel. Use suppositories, fleet or fullenemas.
