Cleanse, antibiotic: I suggest cleaning it with a gentle skin cleanser followed by topical otc antibiotic bacitracin. Avoid squeezing it as infection could spread to deep veins at base of brain. May need oral antibiotics if the redness expands, the tissue becomes raised and firm, and there is pain.
