Rest, medication: I am assuming that your pains are occurring one to 3 days after exercise. This is called delayed muscle soreness. It is caused by damage to the muscle fibers which your body is trying to repair. The pain should resolve within a few days. Ways of helping with the pain include nsaids ( such as ibuprofen), ice, heat, massage, and various linaments ( such as icyhot), but do not quick and healing.
