A member asked:

Can my birth control later impact my ability to get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: Studies have shown that hormonal birth control pills/patches/rings/shots do not have a long term effect on fertility. Occasionally, an iud may make a pelvic infection worse resulting in damage to the fallopian tubes and possible infertility. But this is a rare occurrence.
