Probably inflamatory: Painful lumps in the neck occue due to throat infections. So if you have sore throat, then this lump is unlikely to be anything worrysome. But you need to watch it for 10-14 days. If it keeps growing(and does not start subsiding soon), you should get it checked by your family doctor or by an ENT doctor.
