Unclear question: Are you asking whether you could take 20mg instead of 40mg of pantoprazole? The answer is yes 20mg dose may be adequate if you want to try it for a while and see if it relieves your symptoms fully well..

I'm taking 20mg pantoprazole for a long time and it is not working any longer. It was suggested I try two tablets of Prilosec OTC (40mg). I'm 120 lbs.
