Depend on situation : Yes that is a bit more than normal but sometimes more clip is required to clip off extra vessel or aberrant duct or control bleeding. Ask your surgeon on ur case i'm sure she/he would be glad to tell you.

Uncommon: It is a bit uncommon to have that many. I would say on average pts have 4-6 clips "left" inside them. They are inert and as long as you had no complications, there is no issue with them being there. It's best to talk to your surgeon to get the details on your procedure to get the answers for which you are searching.
