A member asked:

I've had two thyroid biopsys and they came back negative for cancer. getting ready to see endorsement. what should i have them test?

May need nothing: Two negative fnas for a thyroid nodule should be sufficient to rule out the possibility of cancer. However, if the nodule is very large, extends downward into the chest, or is causing trouble swallowing or discomfort in the neck, surgery may still be a reasonable treatment. If none of these factors are present, may just need an ultrasound every once in a while to keep an eye on the nodule.
