Let try to help: To have pain in the whole arm from a diploma is unusual, but it could happen. One reason the location of that lipoma could be pressuring a nerve in that area? Another reason sometimes those lipomas get bigger and irritate the tissues around there. Go to general surgeon and ask about it he will advise you better. Good luck.

Surgery: Painful lipomas are often angiolipomas. Rey are typically easy to remove with local anesthesia through a small incision.
