Discuss with Dentist: First, you need to confirm that it is the crest pro health mouth wash that is causing the sloughing and not something else. Alcohol is known to increase the risk of oral cancer, so anything that you put in your mouth that contains alcohol may increase the risk. I don't believe that that one contains alcohol. You should discuss these issues with your own dentist.

No.: Would not have cancer causing ingredients in an otc product for oral use. I do not know what you are sloughing. See your dentist with an example!

Common: New toothpastes often cause tissue changes in much the same way as changing laundry soap can cause a skin reaction. There are many chemicals in the pastes, and obviously this one doesn't agree with you. No increased cancer risk, but i would not use that pâté gain!

Why use it?: Mouthwash is of little importance in the scheme of oral hygiene. If you have breath related issues, the smell probably originates from stagnating bacterial plaque residing "between the teeth" and/or rotting food particles trapped on the tongue's "sponge like" surface. Try flossing your teeth daily and brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth. Then tell me if you need mouthwash!

I don't recommend it: some ingredients are likely causing it and we hear the same complaints often. I like Closys best.
