I 'm a nanny and 7 year old child he doesn't want me to be paid for taking care of him, tries to hit me when we play together, is this normal?

Child hitting you: Does he do this to other adults or his parents? You have a difficult job as his nanny, and if this has been going on for a while, you should absolutely talk with his parents and ask how they set boundaries. 7 years old is too old for this type of behavior. This isn't normal for most 7 year olds. Please talk with the parents!

No. If his parents: Can't/won't set limits for his behavior that include their following thru with consistent consequences , it's time to move on. Their adult/child boundaries are blurred if he talks about your salary. He's not been properly disciplined (taught) or he's had physical punishment if he thinks it's okay to use physical aggression. Sit down with both parents, without the kid, with a list of your concerns.
