Depends on the wait: If the surgery is tomorrow i think you'll be fine. It sounds like your are having symptoms related to the impingement and inflammation may be pressing on one of the nerves that heads down your arm. If the surgery is not planned for several weeks then waiting not a good idea. Either way i would let your orthopedic doctor be aware of your current symptomolgy.
