Statins, anti angina: If you are having symptoms of angina, evaluation with stress testing and possibly percutaneous revascularization (angioplasty/stenting) might improve symptoms. Long term use of Aspirin and statins (low dose-even in the setting of a low cholesterol) might be indicated. Statins have pleotrophic effects on plaque stability beyond chol. If still w angina, use of beta blockers, nitrates, and ranexa (ranolazine).
