Can i be allergic to spicy food? my nose itches every time i eat spicy food and sometimes i also cough and choke. could it be some kind of allergy?

Vasomotor rhinitis: You may have a sensitivity to the spice in the food, it is called vasomotor rhinitis. There are antihistamine nasal sprays that can be prescribed to aid in controlling your symptoms and have to be taken prior to eating spicy food. Ask your doctor for a prescription.
