A member asked:

Immunotherapy is effective in patients allergic to dust mites? i've took this younger. but right know i've already symphtoms. can i retake?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mite desensitization: Allergen immunotherapy correctly done by an experienced allergist in appropriate patients is usually very effective. In some after 3-5 years of treatment it can be discontinued permanently, but in some ultimately symptom can recur and if testing shows you are still allergic appropriate immunotherapy can again be very symptom and cost effective.
