Depends: A 12cm ovarian cyst will certainly get the attention of your physician! further action will depends on the cyst's ultrasound characteristics and any symptoms it may be causing you. Your OB may elect to do a laparoscopy. Results would determine further action.The cyst may have been smaller on prior studies and/ or obscured by the pregnant uterus or gas filled loops of bowel.
