Not allergy: Eye allergies called allergic conjunctivitis are triggered by exposure to airborne allergens, most commonly pollens, dust mite, animal dander, mold etc. I suspect eye strain or eye fatigue could be triggered by frequent viewing of tv screens. I hope an ophthalmologist comments as well.

Allergies & Dry Eyes: Allergies do not come from using your eyes or looking at electronic screens. They are a reaction to things in the air. However dryness can make your eyes irritated and tear. That can be worse if you stare at a screen to long. Try some artificial tears 4 times a day and see if that helps. If not you may want to try an allergy drop like otc patanol (olopatadine).
