As tolerated : Usually, patients should return to normal activity as tolerated by pain. If it hurts, ease up. Check with your surgeon to be sure.

Hernia repair : Depends if it was open or laparoscopic but you really shouldn't do any heavy lifting (> 10 lbs) for 6 weeks after surgery then slowly increase activity. Good luck.
