A member asked:

What is the difference between bmr and bmi? how can i find how what my bmr is?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not useful: BMR is "basal metabolic rate" and refers to the number of calories that your body burns when you are at rest. Bmi is "body mass index" and is a calculation based on your height and weight that tells you whether you are obese, non-obese, or underweight. BMR can only be measured by a sophistocated machine. It is related to age, lean muscle mass. Unless you have a thyroid problem, there is no med.
