Several things: Sleeping on your side usually helps. Some people even find it useful to sew a tennis ball into a pocket created on the back of a t shirt. Look up the symptoms of sleep apnea and consider getting checked for that. If you have very large tonsils, you may benefit from surgery.

Several things: First try simple things like sleeping on your back, and avoiding alcohol and meals at least 3 hours prior to bedtime. If you are a robust snorer, you may have something called sleep apnea, which is more serious. There is recent evidence that links snoring with heart disease. You may want to have your physician arrange a sleep study for you.

Sleep apnea: Get a sleep test to determine if you have sleep apnea - if not a dental appliance can be made to stop the snoring.
