A member asked:

What is the life expectancy for a diabetic smoker who drinks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not good: Diabetes alone is a major cardiovascular risk factor, equivalent to having had a previous heart attack. Smoking and excess alcohol intake are independant risk factors for heart and lung disease. When you add them all together, the risk is multiplied. One can never predict when someone will die, but clearly, the more risk factors, the more likely something bad will happen.
