Pass Gas & Mucus: The passing of gas and mucus are common signs of "food poisoning, " or some kind of infection. It usually clears up in a few days. There are some other GI diseases that also present this way that are not infectious. If the symptoms don't clear in a day or two and/ or you notice blood in the stools, develop a fever, or experience intermittent or constant lower abdominal pain, see your doctor.

Response 2 something: Sudden gas and mucous are a reaction to the bowels to something. If that is all that's happening, it may just be a reaction to food or something ingested.Especially if other symptoms such as pain, fever or bleeding exist, be seen as those could be signs of a serious problem like infections, allergies, colitis.
