Usually.: Aerobic exercise is unlikely to irritate an existing hernia unless it has reached a size where bowel incarceration is possible. If your hernia is small and not causing significant symptoms, keep on running!

Depends on…: Location & size of hernia as well as whether it is at risk for incarceration (entrapment of loop/s of bowel). If it is small & easily reducible, wearing support to protect the hernia should allow you to run. If hernia worsens after running, see fp/surgeon about possible repair surgery.

Yes: Can perform most all normal activities but refrain from doing things that make the hernia painful or uncomfortable. You may not be able to run at full strength with a hernia. Have an exam with your doctor to confirm what activities are safe for your condition.
