I had a lip lowering surgery in my upper lip 12 days ago and i still have numbness in my half lip my doctor say its normal but am so worried?

Normal: It is very common following any surgery for there to be numbness is the area of the incision which can last several weeks. There is swelling of the tissues and assorted trauma. Plus the nerves to the area which run near the skin are but and injured. Your surgeon should be able to give you a better idea however.

See below: During this surgery some of the nerves that provide sensation to your upper lip were probably traumatized. This can take time to heal.
