Evaluation.: See your gynecologist. The answer could be simply that you are not ovulating regularly because of increasing age. However, your doctor may want to obtain a pelvic ultrasound and sample the lining of your uterus to make sure there are no cancer or pre-cancer cells. If all is normal, you two can discuss the many options of treating abnormal uterine bleeding. Best of luck!
