No.: A surgical or medical abortion wouldn't lead to future ectopic pregnancies. Ectopic pregnancies are usually due to a structural problem with your fallopian tubes, possibly from a past infection. Unrelated: The ectopic pregnancy you experienced recently would have been unrelated to a termination you had back in 2000. Typically women are predisposed to ectopics if they had some sort of prior tubal injury. A termination would have involved only the uterine cavity and not involved the tubes. An abortion gone bad would have resulted in symptoms back then.
