It could be a lipoma: If it is soft and squishy, it could be a lipoma. This is a benign tumor of the adipose tissue. It is not always necessary to remove these. They are common. There are other things this could be as well. If it continues to grow, please seek medical help.

Depending on how: long it's been there and exactly where it is, it could be one of several things: sebaceous cyst, lipoma, abscess (less likely if not painful). I would recommend seeing your doctor or consulting one of us on HealthTap Prime so it can be looked at.
