Infected Cyst?: It sounds like a cyst or hair follicle has gotten infected. Once they become painful, you usually need to see a doctor for treatment. In the mean time you can use warm moist compresses to increase the circulation and help your body fight the infection. Do not squeeze it or try to pop it like pimple, as it could spread the infection.
