Usually not: Fissures usually present with extreme pain. Hemorrhoids, particularly internal ones, can bleed heavily. If continuing or unclear as to source, then need to go to er for exam and treatment plan.

It may: The anal area is very vascular (many smallblood vessels) and a fissure certainly can be painful and cause bleeding. Bleeding from your anus is never normal, so you should get the area checked to assure it is a simple fissure versus some other problem that may be causing rectal bleeding. Good luck.

Not usually: Fissures usually cause pain and bleeding at the time of a bowel movement. The bleeding is usually mot heavy and usually does not contain clots. See your physician if you are having heavy rectal bleeding.
