Head and chest: The chickenpox rash starts about 10-20 days after exposure to the virus and occurs after variable high fever and headache (sometimes stomach ache) blisters start on the face, scalp and chest and are followed by more crops of fluid filled blisters anywhere from the eyelids, mouth, extremities, to genitals.
