Equilibrating: Once one stops birth control pills, it can take a few months for the body to equilibrate, or get back to normal. If more than 3 months have passed, time to see your family doctor or gynecologist.

Depends on how long : Birth control pills can cause absence if menstrual periods when you stop them. There may be a chance that you are pregnant so you should check. If not pregnant, start using an alternate form of birth control until you are regularl again. Then re start birth control pills or find an alternative.
