Use backup : Use a backup method (condoms) or abstinence, wait for menses ( should happen any day now), and restart with a new NuvaRing after menses. If you had recent unprotected sex ( use plan b), or are late for menses, obtain a pregnancy test good luck.

New one in 5-7d: Restart your new ring 5 days after taking the old one out. You may want to think about another method of birth control that's easier to remember how to do correctly--like the implant or an iud.
