Does the nuva ring cause more of a blood clot risk than other birth conrol?

No: All medications that contain Estrogens can increase the risk of forming blood clots in the veins. Estrogen increases the blood's tendancy to clot. Nuvaring has a very low dose of estrogen; risk of clots is similar to other estrogen-containing contraceptives.
