Are there any home remedies for uti?

No: Some women say cranberry juice and other home remedies help with their symptoms but a UTI is a bacterial infection that can only be cured with an antibiotic from your physician.

Antibiotics at home: Only true remedy for a UTI is antibiotics. You should also increase fluid consumption and not withhold urination. Cranberry juice and vitamin c do not cure utis although they may reduce the risk of future utis once your UTI has been cured by antibiotics. Good luck.

Sometimes: If you start to develop symptoms of burning with urination or urinating more frequently; you can try increasing water intake and drinking cranberry juice. If your symptoms worsen, call your doctor.

Abc taken at home: Home remedies for utis are myths. Best home remedy is to drink plenty of water and take apropriately prescribed antibiotics at home!

Boost immunity: Taking a zinc supplement 25-50 mg/day, vitamin D3 10kIU/day, and a good probiotic daily might help solve the problem since they boost immunity and reduce inflammation and pain.

Hydration: Lots of fluids could help, i.e. Perhaps "wash out" or dilute out the infection. Antibiotics require a prescription. Cranberry products which may help prevent an infection, may not be effective for an established infection.
